NEW YORK, NY, October 16, 2026 – Natech Banking Solutions, a banking technology provider with more than 20 years of experience serving financial institutions, today announced the launch of its US operations through Natech USA, Inc., headquartered in New York City, and the appointment of Michael Morais as Head of Sales, USA.

Michael will lead Natech’s commercial strategy in the United States, building relationships with banks, credit unions, and fintechs as they look for practical ways to modernize their anti-money laundering (AML) and financial crime compliance programs.

New to the US. Not new to AML.

Natech’s entry into the US starts with its AML solution, built to help compliance teams reduce false positives as well as false negatives, shorten investigation time, and keep pace with BSA/AML, FinCEN, and OFAC requirements.

The company brings more than 20 years of experience working with banks and digital challengers across Europe and the Middle East, including as the technology partner behind Snappi, Greece’s first ECB-licensed neobank.

“US banks don’t need another AI promise. They need AML technology that holds up in an exam and actually reduces the work. That’s what we’ve built for more than 20 years in Europe and the Middle East, including powering Greece’s first ECB-licensed neobank,” said Thanasis Navrozoglou, CEO and President of Natech. “Michael knows this market, its regulators, and its buyers. He’s the right person to open the US for us. We’re not coming to learn the market. We’re coming to change how it works.”

About Michael Morais

Michael joins Natech from Temenos, where he served as Executive Relationship Manager, growing revenue and expanding the company’s footprint with US financial institutions.

Before that, he spent more than nine years at Oracle, most recently selling financial crime and risk solutions to the top 100 US financial services organizations, and was named Oracle’s 2022 Salesperson of the Year for the US, Canada, and Europe. Earlier, he sold AML, fraud, and KYC solutions to banks including Union Bank and US Bank at NICE Actimize.

Michael is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) and is active in the US financial crime community, including the Coalition Against Financial Crime (CAFC). He is based in the Atlanta area and holds an MBA in International Business from LIU Brooklyn. Outside work, he mentors with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and coaches youth football.

“I’ve spent most of my career selling financial crime technology to US banks, and I keep hearing the same thing: too many alerts, too much manual work, and vendors who disappear after the contract is signed,” said Michael Morais, Head of Sales, USA, at Natech. “This team builds with its clients, not just for them, and that’s what drew me to Natech. I’m excited to bring that kind of partnership to banks and credit unions across the US.”

The appointment is the latest step in Natech’s international growth, following the strengthening of its executive team in 2025 with the appointment of a new CTO and CPO.
